Virtual Airline Pilots

I read a few old threads from some Virtual Airline Pilots, and was wondering if any of the people back since the crash fly for any.

Im currently a Probationary First Officer with US Airways Virtual, flying out of KDCA.

I currently fly for 2 VAs based out of Memphis, Northwest Virtual (NWVA) and MaxFreight. However, Max Freight just moved it's Memphis hub, so I will be leaving that VA.

I'm not real current with my VA flying, but I'm interested in finding a VA that is based out of CGX (Meigs Field) - or at least flies in/out of there...

I don't really know how a virtual airline works, but I'd try it. I don't use my computer yoke and pedals enough anyways.

I don't fly for a virtual airline anymore, haven't done in about a year to be honest, as I was management with a VA, it didn't leave any time for flying, (to busy keeping the pilots in line, checking pireps etc) and at the time we only had one flight sim able computer so I was fighting for time on the computer.

Now we have one computer that will do either 2004 or X, one that does X and one that does 2004, I still can't seem to find the time lol, but my son has started flying, he did a couple of good flights last night, ATC and all, and did rather well.

Shall speak to the other half and see if he would be interested in joining a TAF VA

Ok, got other half over my shoulder asking questions about this, so here we go.

1, what type of fleet do we fly in sims at the moment? He is Wilco Airbus and PSS 777. What aircraft do others use? Or would like to use?

2, Hubs... which countries do we all live in/want to fly to? We are England but will fly worldwide.

3, IVAO or Vatsim? We are IVAO in this house!

4, ad hoc flights or based on a particular 'realife' airline/s? But being TAF Airways (or similiar)

5, Pireps, what style? ACARS? Online blah blah

That's it for now, everything else can be discussed later, just need to get everyone's ideas with the basics first.

He did say that he is happy to help where he can, in the background etc, but without being 'full' staff at the moment as he doesnt have time for that. Should his help be required of course

One suggestion we have at the moment is for us all to fly our own fave airline colours (like here it would be BA) but have a repaint done with a banner down the side of the plane with 'The Aviationa Forum' on it, have that repaint uploaded to the MTL on IVAO and 'our' airline being TAF with the call sign 'Aviation' (just checked on IVAO, TAF is available at the moment, but not sure if the call sign is being used)
