Digital Logbooks/Flight Planning Software

Been thinking about these - the logbook to help remind me when I need to do approaches. It seems like they're usually packaged with flight planning software which is a nice bonus, but I don't think I would ever rely on the software since you need charts anyways. Any worth paying for?

Logbook pro is a pretty extensive package that does almost everything. Aside from logging time, I am pretty sure you can set up the currency tools (part 91, 135, and 121) to be reminders. You can download the demo to play with it.

Also, is there a logbook software out there, just for simple PPL standard? I would like to use it as a backup to my original log book.

Logbook pro can be used for all levels but I am not sure how compatible with the JAA/CAA stuff.

I use safelog, they have a blackberry and an iPhone app which syncs with the program. It shows your day, night, tailwheel, instrument currency. As well as showing you 91,121, 135 currency, and checkride requirements such as total time, xc etc. I have been very happy with the software. There's no flight planning software to go with it but for planning on my iPhone I use co pilot, for the computer I use fltplan.com or aopa's.

I think it's just a mobile version of their website. I couldn't find an APP for SafeLog.
Looks cool, though!
