Our Flight Videos

I don't really know if there has been a dedicated thread until now, but why don't we just keep one thread (maybe pinned up?) with our flight videos, opening up a new thread each time somebody wants to post a video is a bit silly.

Anyhow here is couple of my recent

most recent - Landing in Catalina Island on Piper Seminole PA44 - YouTube

some low flight after takeoff .. Catalina Crazy Takeoff on Piper Seminole - YouTube

Hawaiian island hopping adventures - the video is one hour long, and features all major airports of Hawaii. One of the best and awesome trips I have done, my childhood dream The video is one hour long with nice background music. Go over it if you want to see what hawaii looks like, from lush forests to dull fresh volcano streams. HAWAII Island Hopping trip. Full, HD - YouTube

A shorter video of Hawaii flying with some hawaiian theme. This was a video captured by a cellphone, so I kept it separate. Hawaii Island Hopping trip Landings and Flying Around - YouTube

Here is one more gem. Taking off From Big Bear airport, 6700ft, with 9200 pressure altitude.
My friend(a pilot), sitting next to me made comment after liftoff "Vlad I can't Swim".

I did and overdid my calculations and hoped that that those test pilots did their job.

Taking off from big bear airport - YouTube

We went there without knowing that it was some sort of air show that happens only once in two years...we landed and took of with bunch of spectators thinking what is this piper doing here. Hahah

Hi Vlad - I've stuck the thread for now. I really need to find a current plugin that will allow us to embed videos like we could in the past.

I have never made an approach over the Lake there. Always from the other side.

Pardon my question, but what plane was it? Is it a C172?

It's always fun to land there and added true airspeed due to high density altitude makes it even more fun

It is a C172

The winds were actually variable, and as we landed we were getting a slight tail wind. Approaching the runway from this side is more scenic though. High altitude does make it interesting, 9000ft density altitude that day.

I am from KVNY/KTOA/KEMT depends

I have instrument and multi unless you are on a prepaid program, you could maybe save some money by flying with me sometimes and building time

Well we can always fly to the Casino in Chumash (by Santa Barbara) and back. All we need is two more people and everybody's desire to split the costs
I rent the Seminole for 235$ per hour It's a two hour run roundtrip (max...usually about 1.7-1.8)

LA and OC County residents get 100$ freeplay on their first visit.
