OK . . . here are the details . . .

The fly-in will start at 4:00pm EST, Saturday, Dec 21. We will be using multiplayer Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002.
It will take place at Princess Juliana International Airport in St. Maarten. It is a beautiful airport with stunning views, and a great place to fly.

You may start on the airport, fly in yourself on your own, or use one of several flight plans that we have pre-arranged and will be available for download below.
ATC will be tower only, to be addresses as "Princess Tower". You must use a valid N-number, and formal air procedures at all times.

We will be using the Roger Wilco software for ATC, available for download here. THIS SOFTWARE IS REQUIRED.

IP addresses for Roger Wilco and Flight Simulator will be posted at 3:40pm EST on Saturday. REAL WEATHER will be in use. Current forecasts look like we will have partly cloudy skies with temperatures in the high 80s.

Stay tuned for further updates. The pre-made flight plans can be downloaded here.

ATC is taken care of . . . if we need you to control at some points we'll just tell you in-game. Okay?

I don't know if I'll be there. I'm kind of put off. You just come here(a couple of hours before, no less) and tell me that I'm not going to control when you've been telling me I was going to for the last couple of weeks. What happened suddenly that made you change the ATC plans? Because you decided just to have a tower and nothing else?

BTW, I'm losing my voice due to a bad cold and so I might not have been able to ATC. I actually came here to post about me being able/not able to control.

We aren't going to have a large turnout . . . so we don't need multiple controllers. I'd be happy to LET you be ATC if you want, I just thought that you'd prefer to fly. You can be the controller if you'd rather.

I'm using Flight Simulator's built in multiplayer feature . . . no third-party service.

We aren't operating IFR. You are welcome to use one of the reccomended plans that we provided, but we are actually flying VFR. Tower is the only ATC.

Why did you decide not to allow IFR? Not enough people?

Yeah, there's no need. It's not that it's not ALLOWED, you can treat it as if you are IFR . . . but we aren't going to have center, approach, tower, etc. for only 3-4 people. Just come in, fly around, have fun, and enjoy it.
