Been using ANR since Telex came out with a fairly mediocre set that used 6 AA batteries. When the Lightspeed Thirty Three-Gs came out I had a set of those, then upgraded to Zulu soon after they hit the streets. I now have three: two for my airplane, and one for work. Under normal circumstances I'll never go back to passive, there simply is no comparison.

Yes, the Zulus, Lightspeed's top of the line over-the-ear headsets are expensive. On the other hand they're backed by a company with a great reputation for excellent service and a 5-year warranty. The extra I paid for mine have been repaid ten-fold with quiet comfort. Makes sitting in a light-twin feel like I'm sitting in my living room.
